Syracuse announces Class of 2015 recruiting class

Syracuse has completed its 2015 recruiting class by adding five more players, head coach Phil Wheddon announced Tuesday in a release on Cuse.com.

Annette Cappellino, Grace Dickey, Drina Domic, Jacqui Kane, and Maddie Pack will join Eva Gourdeau and Hannah Specht in the Orange’s Class of 2015.

Cappellino and Kane are both goalkeepers and are each transferring to SU — Cappellino from the University of Maryland Baltimore County and Kane from University of Pacific as a graduate transfer. Dickey, who will graduate from Strath Haven (Pennsylvania) High School in 2015, will play midfield for Syracuse. Wheddon indicated that Domic, who played at Bishop Carroll (Alberta, Canada) High School, and Pack, who played at Our Lady of Good Counsel (Maryland) High School, will each play defense.

“Drina and Maddie will be fantastic options for us at the back and Grace will strengthen our midfield corps,” Wheddon said in the release. “We are excited to have these players on the field in the fall and expanding our SU Women’s Soccer family.”
