A man assaulted and attempted to rob a female Syracuse University student Wednesday night as she was walking on the 100-block of Standart Street toward her car, which was parked in one of the West lots, said Public Safety Interim Chief Tony Callisto.At approximately 9:15 p.m., the man approached the student, grabbed her purse, and began rifling through it, Callisto said. When the student told him she had no money, he threw the purse and cursed at her.The man then took her hand and pulled it to his body in a sexual manner before running away, Callisto said.
