Roger Springfield, former Syracuse University Athletics director of media properties and production, was sentenced to five years probation today for secretly videotaping more than 100 male athletes in various locker rooms, The Post-Standard reported.

Springfield, 57, was indicted on four counts, but only pled guilty to the first count back in March, which was for secretly recording athletes during a Nov. 10, 2012, football game. It is a Class E felony, punishable by up to four years in jail. He admitted to all four counts in court.

The other three counts were related to a 2010 lacrosse game and incidents involving the men’s soccer team in spring 2010 and April 2012.

Springfield, whose legal name is Roger Cahak, was accused in January of secretly recording male athletes from three sports in the locker rooms of the Carrier Dome and out-of-state sports facilities throughout the past 10 years.
